Honest review of the Wake Booster

Yeah, I have a booster and so far it works great without issues but I too can't help but suspect that Yamaha is limiting the supply to limit their liability if something happens. Just too weird that they couldn't keep up with demand. Although I guess that is only one in many possible reasons...

One picture of your last outing.

We have a "no orange cheesy snack" rule on our boat. One of my daughter's friends not in the know brought some dorito and cheeto bags to share. My daughter and her friends got creative in skirting the rules.

    Quick anchor locker fix

Oh - I assumed the plug in the anchor drain fixes the issue, maybe i missed something in this thread.

    Quick anchor locker fix

No, it leaks in between the outer and inner hull as the water is coming into the anchor locker drain because of inadequate seal of the drain insert not fully extending and sealing the space between the inner and outer hull. Some white 3M 5200 on the inside is a pretty easy fix for this issue...

Need help - Lots of water draining from plug on '17 212X

That's what @AJack did in this thread with an Attwood Bailer Plug https://jetboaters.net/threads/quick-anchor-locker-fix.21298/

    Help Please- Drone Shopping

Hmmmm I think that is only if you use your phone to control them - if I remember correctly you can use a phone to control them or use the controller with your phone only operating as a screen. I believe the controller does not use WiFi and has much greater range in that case. At least that is...

Need help - Lots of water draining from plug on '17 212X

Not "one screw in a fitting". They basically missed the entire one side of the clean out tray with the silicone bead leaving a crack the length of the clean out tray. But agreed, I didn't have the "more than a gallon" scenario going on.

Need help - Lots of water draining from plug on '17 212X

I have the same boat as you so I'll just throw this out there as a possibility cause it was what was causing my water in the bilge issue. What was happening was when I stopped the wall of water hitting the back of the boat was force water up the clean out tray drain. This filled the clean out...

Plugs <what to lube them with?>

I use this on my clean out plugs and on my drain plug O-ring every outing. I keep a tube and a rag in my clean out tray area and lube everything up before I put the plugs in at the landing. I've been very happy with the results...

How to install temperature gauges and senders for engine temps

Yep - I edited my post at the same time you posted this - makes sense in that regard.

How to install temperature gauges and senders for engine temps

Hmmmmm??? Not following this logic. For one, my boat only has one set of pissers (1.8s). And also, this information doesn't track with anything I know about thermostats. Thermostats to my knowledge only open as result of temperature. Yes the higher rpms will cause the thermostats to open...

How to install temperature gauges and senders for engine temps

Saw this on amazon. Has dual temp gauge so you can do what @Scottie has outlined for us above but with a single 2" gauge. Also comes with 2 temp senders...

How to detect overheat potential before it happens??

Was always "pee hole" growing up. Probably not any less crass though. :)

How to detect overheat potential before it happens??

I also had an overheat on Saturday due to weeds plugging up the grates. Could not get rid of the alarm and come out of limp mode by letting it just sit there with the batteries off. In fact even after loading it on one engine pulling it 45min home and putting it to bed - still had the alarm on...

First Roadtrip - towable storage advice

We've done this, anchor a big tube in a cove while we do some other type of pulling. We've even used it as a sudo home base for a few to hang out on and swim while we pull, come back switch a couple people and go again.

    Boating fail thread

Once forgot that I had put two anchors out when swimming in middle of the lake because of a pretty good cross wind. Got ready to go and pulled one anchor up. "Why is this boat pulling to the right so hard?" Lucky no damage to anything except my ego.

Engine running, no water from side.....

If no over heat alarm and pissing at speed, no problem. My 2017 212x only dribbles at idle, occasionally nothing at idle, and yes sometimes one engine is dribbling and one is nothing at idle - this way since new off the lot. But once at speed pisses hard out both.

Man I'm really liking that boat and at that size and price point I could get sucked in!
