Completed Good deal on a 212x

Wait.... how does a price drop from a dealer that doesn't know anything about 2020 changes scream revamped changes in 2020? :p Sorry just giving you shit.

Wake tower action camera (GoPro) mount

    I bought this one. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1274425-REG/gopro_agtlm_001_general_purpose_tube_mount.html

How to tell if steering wheel is straight?

It’s been discussed. Suggestions included putting a piece of tape or sticker on the wheel and others have painted a subtle pin stripe somewhere on the appropriate spoke. I personally never felt the need but can see how it may be helpful in some situations.

    Wakeboarding injuries

Been wakeboarding for years. As I approach 50 I have a harder and harder time justifying the potential for brutal face plants. Took an extra hard one last summer on a wake to wake which prompted me put away the wakeboard for the rest of that summer and to buy a wakeskate this past winter...

    Starboard Check Engine Light Troubleshooting

All my check engine alarms have been from start and/or stopping sequences. Start induced: 1) Hit the key before the connext has booted up fully. 2)Key slips in hand when starting so it only turns over briefly and doesn't start. Both these sequences have given me check engine alarms. Stop...

Rule Mate 500 gph Automatic Bilge Pump Keeps Running

I thought the 2018-2019's had float switches now instead of cycling.

    Whats your towing MPG?

    2004 Yukon 5.3L (packed backend and pulling lightly packed 212X) 65-70mph : 10-11mpg

    Tube storage

We air them down when we are done using them and then hang them up that way in the shed after putting the boat to bed. As long as you hang them up they dry out just fine.

One picture of your last outing.

I wrap my tower with shrink wrap on the long trips to the cabin etc. Doesn't take long to wrap it up and saves having to clean up that type of mess...

    Stupid mistake

This is why I added “to each his own”. 30+ years of installing oil filters on numerous equipment, autos, and boats by hand successfully (was how I was taught as a youngster) so not about switch now. :)

    Stupid mistake

Glad it all worked out. I will say that I personally have never used a filter wrench to install an oil filter on any engine my entire life - hand tight has always been sufficient for no leaks. But to each their own. ?

    Drain plug Timeout.

This shouldn’t affect the bearing, those intermediate bearings are sealed bearings - the grease is only to keep the intermediate seals conditioned. Having said that, it wouldn’t be optimal to have water in there not sure what damage it could do as far as corrosion but the bearing itself...

    Testing the new wake booster

If you had vibration before the wake booster then it is likely your reverse bucket needs adjusting - the wake booster may just be exaggerating a problem that already existed. We don’t have any different feeling in the throttles with the wake booster installed on our 2017 212x

    21’ wakebooster availability?

It’s a shield to install over the scupper outlet to keep water from being forced back up the deck drain. It’s in the instruction pamphlet that comes with the package.

Anyone throw in some seafoam/mystery oil....

I started using ring free. My plan was to use the recommended amount in a full tank 2-3 times a season. Stuff is spendy.

Serious Burn from Tow Rope sucked in impeller (copied from Facebook)

Makes me weak, not looking at this pic as unfortunate as it is, but what could have happened and further what could happen to someone I love on my boat. Its not a bad thing to be reminded and feel this way from time to time to keep me vigilante. Things can go south so fast, it only takes a few...

Is there a doctor in the house?

Hell, once you get into your upper 40s you can pull a muscle sneezing. LOL

    Loss of Propulsion :(

Sounds like a clean out plug not fully seated.
