    Blocking

So you want to re-gelcoat the bottom of your boat? You should be able to find the exact factory color so no blending would be necessary. If you're patching, then you should be able to bring back the original color with some wet sanding and buffing after you spray your patches.

When you say "paint" are you referring to anti-fouling paint?

    Scratch and Boo Boo Repair

A pic of the scratches and scrapes would be helpful to determine how to repair. Most scuffs and light scratches can be buffed out. Some of the deeper ones may need a light sanding first. A really deep gouge will require a small gelcoat repair from the above mentioned spectrum repair kits.

Side skirts for keeping sun off the boat?

I had mine by a local upholstery shop. Think I paid $150 for the skirts. They velcro to the underside of the factory cover. Our black gelcoat sides get pretty hammered down here in the Fl sun. Especially due to the boat being stored in the driveway.

Leaving in salt water for a week

Definitely use the Salt-Away when you do finally take her out at the end of your stay. If you happen to pull the boat out during the week, then I'd flush the motors while she was out.

    Show us what you see!!!

Have you tried bolt extractors on the remaining exposed bolts? I've had pretty good luck with them in the past. Another idea would be do soak the bolts in 50/50 acetone and ATF. This is by far the best penetrating lubricant I could find. Another mothod would be to heat up the bolt and use wax to...

Loading 11' ar210 on mfi trailer

Trailer guide poles are the way to go. Just a hair over $100 with the foam crash pads so you don't hurt your gel. I had a similar problem that would sometimes allow the boat to kiss the fenders leaving skuffs on the underside of the hull. Guide poles keep her nice and straight.

What to do before dropping a new boat in the water

Do you have your throw-able flotation device? I know in FL, any boat larger than 16' must have a throw-able in addition to the normal life vests. Check every electronic on the boat as well.

Jack needed for 2015 242 shorelander

I have a Fulton F2 trailer jack on our double axle trailer for our 21 footer. Best jack I've ever owned. Not cheap, but well worth the money. Very well made. Pic below is not from my rig.

2017 Yamaha 212X vs. Vortex Chapparal 223VR w/Aerial Surf Platform

Maybe $3500 if you do the swap yourself. Don't forget to add $800 more for the supercharger, as that's not part of the long block that I can see. Now you're at roughly $4K just for motor and SC'er. Definitely over $5K to pay a shop to do the swap. Can't see a shop charging less than a $1K to do...

2017 Yamaha 212X vs. Vortex Chapparal 223VR w/Aerial Surf Platform

Looks like there should be some through hulls just above the water line for the cockpit drainage system according to what I've read with other Chaparrals.

2017 Yamaha 212X vs. Vortex Chapparal 223VR w/Aerial Surf Platform

I know the floor drains throughout the cockpit of our boat drain into the bilge. The rear "trunk' drains out of two ports on the transom. I'd bet money those floor drains in the above pic do the same.
