    Spare Tire Mount

Those are nice. I like doing that kind of fabrication. But I've been balancing my spare on the floor jack and lifting it into just about every conceivable location under the FSH and am not finding anything very suitable without a lot of work and still ending up with questionable ground...

    Spare Tire Mount

Well now that I threw the word "Angled" in to the mix...everybody and their brother makes one. Thanks Group!

    Spare Tire Mount

@itsdgm ... that's what I think I'll need! Thanks! I've not seen that one in my searches. I'll dig deeper. Or, I'll spend some time in the machine shop this week.

    Spare Tire Mount

I'd be grateful to see any photos of where anyone has mounted a spare tire on the FSH ShoreLander trailer. Mine is painted steel for what it's worth. I don't know how much build difference there is between the steel and aluminum trailers but I'm really struggling to find a place that gives me...

    190 FSH Deluxe Mooring Cover

Yes, do tell. I've been checking out the Fishmaster folding T-Top but yours looks better.

    FSH Xducer location

Not having drilled "thru-hull" for anything else on my boat and therefore not knowing for sure, I went purely on the assumption of my "visual best guess" that we do not have a cored hull before I mounted this thing where I did. If anyone has drilled the bottom and knows for sure something to the...

    FSH Xducer location

Happy to report that I played hooky today and went fishing. The epoxy Xducer mount spot right in front of the speedo proved to be just right. Good clear bottom reading right up to my max speed of 30mph. (Altitude) Surface to bottom was nice and clear up to almost 25 and then started to pick up...

A few Questions before I Pull The Trigger

I asked that same question before I bought, got the same answer, was a little skeptical, but now I'm a believer...none needed. :D

    FSH Xducer location

I'll be curious to hear where this subject goes as well. I have a Helix 7 DI. I originally had the Xducer on the transom. My bad as in my rush to get the new boat on vacation, I totally forgot about the thru hull water pick-up for the live well. The trailer bunk hides it. I must have been...

First ride in the FSH 190

No problem. You'll see in the photos where I hooked mine. Bottom line though, the batteries use a "common" ground wire so go ahead and hook it to whichever negative battery terminal is easiest for you get to depending on how the dealer installed the batteries. VSR stands for Voltage Sensing...

    DSC - VHF

VHF is pretty much right next to useless here in CO but I regularly get to Florida and the Great Lakes so I've got it. Presently, it's sitting on the shelf waiting to get moved from the old boat to the new boat. I've got it registered as well and the GPS interface cable is ready to be plugged in...

    VHF

Certainly an EPIRB is one of if not the best solution for wherever you may happen to find yourself on the water. No argument there whatsoever. For those without the EPIRB...don't overlook the DSC function on your VHF. (It's a free function on all newer VHF radios) Register your radio to the...

Just placed an order too...Thanks @Billy Marlin

    Console glove compartment

Agreed, and don't think that console is secure at all either. Just give it a little pull and it will pop right open.

    MinnKota Riptide ST mounted

54" here. Seems to be a good length even when it's lumpy water and the bow is bouncing.

    Hose kinked to wash down

We might need to ask Yamaha to re-label the control to Jet Bucket Filler. Saves your back so you don't have reach over the gunnel to fill your deck wash bucket. :p

    Hose kinked to wash down

Good idea to repair the kink but alas, the FSH pee stream seems to be the norm at least from most reports on this site. Welcome aboard!

What kind of seas/wind can this boat handle?

Have fun out there @Billy Marlin. It's all about direction and duration down there. We rarely had any calm while we were in Destin recently but manged our way around pretty well. If the wind was coming off the land, we did pretty well out in the Gulf even though it was blowing 15-ish. If it had...

    10 hour service time already

Dropping mine off this Thursday. $275 + parts. Dealer said to figure close to $375 by the time they're done with parts and tax. It is what it is, a piece of paper from an "authorized" dealer that may save a warranty headache down the road. Generally though, I hate letting dealers touch anything.

    Brass Drain plug install

If interested, here's the one's I've got coming now. On sale. Not a big deal but I ended up choosing bronze as I'm getting close to retirement and may be spending more time in the warm salt. :) http://www.wholesalemarine.com/sea-dog-bronze-garboard-drain-with-1-2-plug.html
