    Auto bilge??? I'm a jackass...

Unless Yamaha has changed something over the last few years which is certainly possible, this dealer statement is incorrect. As others have mentioned and the manual seems to corroborate, the battery and bilge switch must be on. Then the pump will only "test" cycle at a predetermined interval and...

    In hull transducer location

Fair enough. I would never argue that direct water contact isn't better that shooting through anything. It would be interesting to have an extra transducer handy and just put it in the water while anchored up over some type of structure and see the difference first hand with a screen shot.

    In hull transducer location

Funny, that's who I talked to years ago when I was concerned about them showing two different transducer part numbers. One for transom mount and one for hull mount shoot thru. He said they're identical other than the mount. He also walked me through the best way to do it including making sure...

    In hull transducer location

Granted I have a 190 so location is different but I beg to differ about it not working. My DI seems to work fine shooting-thru.

2018 210 FSH “Dixie Highway” build...join me on the voyage

OK. I wasn't aware Shoreland'r was shooting for that low of a number. For bouncing and overall load leveling, I highly recommend air bags for the truck. I tow a lot and my boat's got well over 10,000 road miles on it. I'm in a Ram 1500 (Super easy to do the air bags) and I barely even notice...

2018 210 FSH “Dixie Highway” build...join me on the voyage

FWIW, I don't think you're too heavy on the tongue weight. In fact, I would hesitate to say that you're heading in the wrong direction. 10% is a good general rule of thumb.

    2017 FSH Water Leak Checklist

No, just on the flange side. The threaded back side was clean and fairly easy to take apart. Thankfully though, I suffer from PLS. (Primate limb syndrome, aka "Monkey Arms")

    2017 FSH Water Leak Checklist

Yes for the deck drains. Not so much for the front insulated box though. Yours may be different but mine had the hole hogged out so bad from the factory that there was no physical way to position the flange of the drain fitting to completely cover the hogged out hole. I ended up taking a piece...

    2017 FSH Water Leak Checklist

Agreed, you 'll find a ton of stuff on here. Do some thread searching. - Here's one I did to identify some MAJOR deck leaks; - @OUT ON THE REEF did one about the anchor locker leaks. That was another major one. Even with all that, the hatches/covers all leak like crazy and you'll drive...

    fender question for FSH friends

Have a look a this old thread. https://jetboaters.net/threads/fender-location-and-attaching.15036/post-259179 I've had no issues yet with my little zig-zag rope grips.

    Trolling motor size

80# - 24V here as well. Two Group 27 Optima Blue tops. Works well in everything I've ever been in.

Would you buy an FSH again??

That's great to hear and equally great you get to use it that much.

    210 FSH Transducer Location?

The same transducer. I even checked with the folks at Humminbird first since they listed two separate models. I was told the reason for the two numbers is one ships with the transom bracket, the other ships with the plastic sleeve of epoxy. The transducer is exactly the same. I'm not sure how...

Would you buy an FSH again??

Only 78 hours. I love it for taking my various road trip one or two week vacations. Heading of to Florida again soon for a couple weeks. The cross country portability and usability on inshore lakes and bays as well as "just enough" size and power to handles bigger stuff makes it a very good fit...

    No FSH at the shows

Good to hear. It's been few years since I've hit our Denver show, usually it had been underwhelming for boats that I wanted to see. In the CC type of boat they usually had about two, both small Whalers. Now if you wanted a ski boat, that was another story. Is it safe to assume that you bought...

    No FSH at the shows

Just a little jealous. Wishing I was at that show looking at Trawlers. Denver had a boat show last weekend. Not quite the same.

    Water leaking from stbd motor!

Thin spot in the casting combined with an over-torqued NPT fitting? Just thinking out loud.

    Launching and Loading FSH 190

Agreed. Kudos to the lovely Mrs. HighandDry who over the last couple of years has really improved her driving around the ramps. I'll do the initial backing, have everything in a straight line, climb on from dry ground, and then have her back in slow until we're deep enough to start the motor...
