    Did the same as @Kahuna Khris only my mount is screwed to the upper face of the dash. All the same reasons he mentions apply. Granted I'm only running a 7" but the large ball RAM mount is rock solid.

    Probably a "keep alive" memory hot wire somewhere that's not connected. Or connected on the switched side of the battery master.

    Fairly certain my 2016 FSH is the exact same way as you describe. Resets each time.

    You are right, you can go eight ways from Sunday on your selection. I like my Humminbird Helix 7 DI GPS, mounted on a RAM ball so I can swing it around if I want. Right in the price point you mentioned.

    Agree with @Grover70. You're probably not going to like that pump sitting in the bottom of the changing room. I'm thinking you're going to end up with a Joe Bob dealer attempt to make you go away. The pump will be in the way if you want to add a porta-potty The pump will not keep the floor...

    Agree with shooting for the 10% range. Not sure of the Tacoma options but consider looking to air bags. I had them on my old Dakota (leaf springs) and loved them. The new RAM with coils, I added the bags that go inside the coils. Very simple install and very helpful as well.

    FWIW - I did the shoot thru the hull epoxied transducer on my Helix unit. Water temp seems to work just fine. I'm guessing it may be a few seconds slower than if it were in direct contact with the water. But bass fishing on various spots around Lake Michigan moving in and out of harbors and...

    Looks great. I gotta ask though, "did that spare tire carrier come as a Shorelandr' factory standard or a boat dealer option?" I only ask because of my "need new trailer" thread a little while back.
