*Pics* White Factory Overspray in Engine Bay - QC Repairs

As someone who bought a brand new truck and discovered damage underneath after getting it home and upon further investigation found where a body panel had been repainted, and hired an outside shop to find out that yes the frame was bent...I agree with @itsdgm. If there was a major repair done...

    Dealer Installed Dual Batteries

All good advice but I'll throw a wrinkle in. Are you eventually going to add a set of batteries for a 24V trolling motor? If so, get a three banker. One to each trolling battery, one to the starting battery, and let the DVSR bleed over to charge the house battery once the starting battery is...

*Pics* White Factory Overspray in Engine Bay - QC Repairs

Yep. Somebody likely did something after the boat left the factory.

    Used negotiation advice

"Puff, puff, pass." :cigar: Yamaha hasn't seemed to give much credence to anyone's issues yet. Enjoy the boat though, they're still fun.

    Used negotiation advice

My wife stood on that very SeaDek this spring when we visited JBP to pick up some accessories during our Destin vacation. Nice ride, she approves!

Deck washdown Mod no more standing water!!

To each his own but...They're there for a reason.

    New mod.

I totally believe this is the whole issue. My dealer noted the recall when I bought the boat (out of state) and said they'd "get back to me" when they got the stuff in to make the fix. Hey dealer, "Helloooo, are you there? I've never heard boo from you since I bought the boat." Frankly, I like...

FSH trolling motor mount (and shallow water anchor) advice needed

    1. 54" 2. 80# 3. I-pilot. Yes. Yes, GPS for anchoring is great. Beyond that, at least 90% of the time I'm in both cruise control and directional tracking mode. I love being able to set a speed for casting a straight-ish line bank or trolling in a specific direction without making lazy "S"...

    Leaving Boat in Water.

Very much agree. I was surprised how much corrosion I got on the intake grate from doing a similar two week vacation stint earlier this year. A pre-treat with some anti-corrosion spray might be advised.

    FSH Xducer location

Glad it worked out! About the time it works for one person...another has different results. 2 for 2 is a good start. :)

    Trailer bunks concern

I've even considered peeling up the carpet in the area, routing out the area of the wood may a 1/4" deep or so around where the pickup hits, and then reattaching the carpet. At least it would take the pressure off of that plastic.

Pics of Fish with the FSH Sport

OK, not in the same league but I thought I better get on this thread too. Another Great Lakes Sheephead from last week. A few of these small Smallies too but no hawgs this year.

FSH Sport, pre-purchase test drive is a "go" tomorrow...

I've been away a few weeks on vacation in Lake Michigan and must have missed that one. Can't wait to hear more. These boats spin on a dime with a little forward-reverse-steering wheel spin. They maneuver very nice in slow forward speed with the TV's installed. They walk backward just fine too...

What is the "real" top speed for a 190 FSH Sport? Apples to apples...

For a good time, come up to a 10,000 foot lake here in CO. That's where I got in trouble for asking Mrs Highanddry to move the front seat because I needed ballast to achieve plane. Ouch! Major power loss. That's smooth water, throttle pegged, two people.

    190 FSH drain problems

Thanks for all the good stuff here. I had always suspected that area may have something to do with water intrusion to the bilge but now that I've actually looked closer at it I see that would be a physical impossibility. That said, mine is not quite as bad as what @JDinfla has pictured but I'm...

    190 FSH drain problems

Yamaha touts their robot precision hull and deck building. Ok, well maybe pretty good there. So maybe they need to get some robots to do final assembly as well because I'm really unimpressed by just about everything a human has touched on these boats. Do you watch these threads Yamaha? Ridiculous!

    190 FSH drain problems

Agree with @Billy Marlin. Admittedly, I personally haven't called Yamaha but it seems enough folks have that someone would have received some positive feedback on problem resolution from them but that doesn't seem to exist. My boat doesn't sit in a slip so I just deal with the leakage. The...

    Water under changing station.

Yep...it happens to all of us. Lots of places for it to come in. The biggest thing that seemed to have stopped mine was to pull out the (junk IMHO) plastic factory bilge drains and replace them with some nice bronze garboard drains. That seems to have kept me nice and dry. (@Billy Marlin had a...

Deck washdown Mod no more standing water!!

Or have Mrs. Marlin stand on the swim platform while deck washing. Mrs. HighandDry about killed me the first time I asked her to do that. I probably shouldn't have used the word "ballast" when I asked. :winkingthumbsup"
