That still works for us. And, I was just giving you a hard time. I appreciate you organizing these events. The last meet was a great time, as always.

    Mantus anchor. Awesome

The Manson is very similar to the Mantus. How are you liking it?

    Mantus anchor. Awesome

Is the FX-11 a backup anchor? If so, what do you use as your primary anchor? I like your idea of the shackle and storing it in the helm storage area.

    Mantus anchor. Awesome

Both will do the same job. One is prettier than the other. The prettier one will cost more. So, it is up to you.

    That is an option too.

    Mantus anchor. Awesome

I have thought of that. I don't disagree that would work. I was hoping to find something even more simple. I was also hoping to find a quick-release bolt that had a small piece of thin wire that was attached to the bolt. That way, if you do drop it, it is attached. Very similar to how the...

    Mantus anchor. Awesome

@farrelltravis, will it fit in your anchor locker with the hoop removed? Yes. The little white blocks would need to be raised a bit, but yes, it would fit without the hoop. Would it fit with he hoop folded against the shank? It would. It would be very tight if it folded, but it would fit...

    Mantus anchor. Awesome

    @Jebinok - I called Mantus. The 13lb anchor I have uses 3/8" bolts.

    Mantus anchor. Awesome

Hmmmmm......idk.....lol I will see if I can figure that out. You don't need to "do" anything. I just know your mind is way more mechanical than mine. Just think about it. I can show you at the 8/12 and maybe we could come up with something.

    Mantus anchor. Awesome

I would not be surprised at all if it fits in your anchor locker, Jeb. The newer boats have a bigger anchor locker. Now, with that said.....since you know about machining, etc..... My 13lb Mantus would fit in my anchor locker, if it did not have the round bar. I did some field testing on the...

    Mantus anchor. Awesome

I hated to lose the anchor locker as well. But, the trade off was to throw an anchor, it stick within a second, and not have to worry about it. Watching others' anchors come loose and mine holding was worth it to me to not have the anchor locker. A few weekends ago, we were anchored and had a...

JetBoatPilot Major Product Release Coming Very Soon!!

Since Will had said you could see it in the picture of his truck, if the boat was attached, my guess is a new anchor or windlass. I am hoping for a windlass. I would love that on my 230.

Texoma Gathering 2017 July 22nd and Aug 12

Just my $0.02. Might considering starting a new thread for the 8/12 gathering. That way it would be separate from the 7/22 gathering that has now passed.

Texoma Gathering 2017 July 22nd and Aug 12

We had a great time. I had been stressing for about a week on how/what/etc to take to the gathering. I guess I have a big family. 14 people, 1 dog, 1 boat, a jet ski, 282 ice chests and bags (it seemed) It is always great to see everyone. We had a blast and looking forward to the next...

Texoma Gathering 2017 July 22nd and Aug 12

Amen and second everything you said @txav8r !! We don't have a buildout at our dock. Just personal effects in the boat. Our personal effects are insured up to $5,000. We don't have too many personal effects on the boat, so that should be adequate.
