    It’s the Sam unit and they want $1400. Can buy the part but it needs to be programmed to my Vin by the dealer. They won’t do that and let me do the install. ????! What choice do I have here?

    I give up. Depending on my mood I will drive the trailer with one brake light indefinitely and try not to make any left turns or take it to the dealer and bring the KY with me. Decisions, decisions.
