    Liquid in Air Filter

I was going to call tomorrow. Had to take it there for an issue with a high idle. They said it was a perfect pass problem, and didn’t fix it under warranty. While it was there I said “screw it” and told them to winterize it too. Got it back and they had left the battery switches on with them...

    Liquid in Air Filter

If it was covered by warranty would you have tried to get a new one? The starboard was dripping out. The port was stained but mostly dry comparatively speaking.

    Liquid in Air Filter

I’ll be darned. I even sprayed fogging oil into a paper towel to check, but I was using stabil. That means it came from the dealer winterizing it last year. What did you do about the problem? Do I have to get new air filters? Is this something you think might be covered under warranty?

    Liquid in Air Filter

If liquid wasn’t dripping out I would say maybe. But it was saturated apparently. This is the present it left me when I set it down.

    Liquid in Air Filter

It’s in both filters. Nothing I have used is blue. I did let the dealer winterize it last year because they were allegedly fixing a different issue I was having. They didn’t fix it, but that’s another story.

    Liquid in Air Filter

Winterizing and giving everything a once over since my warranty expires in March. Noticed a corner of the air filter had a blue stain. Set it off to the side to change the oil, plugs and fog it. When I went to get the filter it was leaking a blue liquid. I have no idea what it is. Any...

    How’s my cone look?

Thanks! Not knowing what I was going to find I ordered some a couple of weeks ago. It’s not here yet, but even when it gets here don’t mess with it? How about the scratches on the liner? Trying to get the vibration under my feet to lighten up.

    Yukon vs Expedition

I tow our boat with a ‘15 Expedition I bought used. It had a weird transmission shudder that was solved with a flush. Ever since then it has been perfect. Took it to Asheville last weekend and averaged 20.8 on the lieometer, which included a 3 hour stop and start drive on the Blue Ridge parkway...

    How’s my cone look?

First time pulling the pump today. Honestly now that it’s out, I have no idea if this is good or bad? Same with the liner. (The brighter yellow is with the flash off). What say you all?

    Yamaha Engine sound.

Mine sounds very loud at idle, to the point I wonder what this quiet cruise nonsense is. I can hear the thing at the top of the ramp when I’m walking to get the trailer. There is a ton of vibration as well. I was going to look in the cones this weekend, having read some posts on that issue. No...

    100 hour service question

Do you remove the entire pump to do this?

    Lowering the Engine Noise Level

Sorry, but here come some more dumb questions. Did you spray both the rubber and the hatch? And did you use 1 piece, or cut it into sections? Thanks in advance, and if you saw the boating fail thread you would understand why I am asking so many).

    Lowering the Engine Noise Level

I saved the picture. The stuff is kind of flimsy, and just trying to lay it out without any glue I couldn't figure out how to make it all the way around by yourself without any issues. I was hoping if there were any tricks or tips for dummies someone could share.

    Lowering the Engine Noise Level

How did you put the rubber sealer around the hatch? Was it all in one piece, or did you cut into sections? I recieved mine last week, but just pulling it out of the box it seemed like it would be tough to keep it in one piece by yourself without it potentially getting glue places you didn't want...

    Idel RPM

I’ve had some issues with my starboard engine idling high due to a Perfect Pass malfunction so I’m very aware of the number. 1300 is what I have on both motors when things are running correctly.

    Boating fail thread

OK. Here it is. Biggest dumbass on the forum award nominee and future winner coming right now. This was Mother's Day last year. Put the shelf in , having no idea I put a hole, or holes, as the case may be, in it. Covered it and didn't notice them since I put the cover on from inside. Couple...

Negative on the pictures. Let’s just say when installing said shelf, keep the drill away from the outside wall??‍♂️

    Boating fail thread

I installed a shelf in the head compartment that will go down as the most expensive storage modification in the history of this website.

    Full fuel on a 2108 242x at 90%

I say the same thing about the reserve with the waverunners. Our old one had the reserve switch, the ones we have now don’t. Always sort of figured the engineers knew we would push it to the brink of empty every time so they adjusted the fuel gauge to read empty early since they took the reserve...

    We were all new once

My wife was pulling the boat onto the trailer last month. Probably only her 5th time doing it, and first of this year. She juiced it a little too much and I had to back her in so she could do it again. No big deal and it only added a minute to us getting out. One guy was waiting for us, and when...
