    Fuel tank water

jack up the tongue to drain. ....better yet hook to truck and drag boat for a couple miles...it will drain. I only use one drain plug and that's the main drain plug. I want all that water out....check ski locker plug also....it goes to fuselage then to bilge.

    Fuel tank water

my guess is those pads may have been glued below fuel tank as cushion....they appear to be what I can see in the background of your photo cushioning top of fuel tank? Same material?

TURN BILDGE ON BEFORE OPENING PLUG OR REMOVING DEBRIS....lol

    Fuel tank water

I would say if the plus is removed it is blocked by debris or one of those black pads you are finding. Try taking something, like a screwdriver of engine compartment side and pushing in drain hole towards fuel tank and see if you can dislodge any debris or if water starts to drain, turn bilge on...

    Fuel tank water

It drains to the engine compartment, is that plug removed? if you look on firewall between engine compartment and fuel compartment.

I don't do chemicals or treatments. If the hive doesn't survive then so be it. These bees of today have become entitled brats....lol. We joke about "how did they survive 200 years ago without me feeding them protein patties and sugar water" lol.... Keep us posted!

True on inner cover, it is much warmer in Texas than here in Virginia. In the Summer I put four bottle caps under the top cover and above the inner cover for more air flow. Yea they getting pissed. Its amazing how used to you they get. They are less pissed when I bring new sugar water....feed...

Looks awesome....might want to double check on the inner cover use with feeder. I think, most, have a notch that bees can get in the top then down into your sugar water and drown. I believe I use either the inner cover OR the top feeder. Have you got stung yet? lol

You will lose bees, but generally they find their way in....that hive came with 10,000 bees so you are good. The clump is a good sign, they probably around the queen protecting here. See a clump, the queen is usually underneath. They hear you and cover her. I have taken a package of bees...

In my photo of my hives the large one to the right I lost thus winter. It was so strong and plentiful. The warm weather in a Cold Virginia climate will kill a hive quicker than 0 degree weather. At least when 0 degrees - 32 degrees jan - feb the bees stay dormant and huddled for warmth. A warm...

yes, I use a Queen Excluder on Packages I introduce to the hives not nucs (unless needed due to old queen not liking bottom hive box) . The queen may lay 2000 eggs per day, that will fill up a bottom deep hive in 7-8 days, then add a top 7-8 days more....the eggs take 21 days to mature into...

Also, buy your bees local if possible. Recently here in Virginia we have a few places supplying nucs split off from local bees. I like this because the bees are actually acquainted with the local climate. Not really an issue for you in Texas but I don't know that for sure. I suggest nucs, 10...

One suggestions for the setup, and it looks great I must add.....make sure the fronts of the hive have a slight decline. You don't want water to build up inside on a heavy downpour....it could drown or suffocate the hive. I almost did this and saved in time. just a slight angle, if you don't...
