Thrust Vector and Lateral Thruster Compatibility

So... what is the protocol for calling out salesmanship, which means smoke and mirrors to me? I mean some folks are putting their lives into these products and are fully drinking their own koolaid. No chance they don’t defend some comments that might hit too close to home. On the other hand...

2000 LS2000 reupholsterey in Detroit area.

Ask the folks to make the back more like the LS210. That’s my plan. I would prefer it too. So win win.

I think I finally quieted my Yamaha!

Pretty negative post with just a gut feel about the idea. No one knows what the variability is.. most people own excel and its use is well documented... it’s a start... why hate on an idea you don’t even know wouldn’t work.. I even said taking a bunch of measurements would be a pain and that I...

Material between outer hull and inner shell

I’d say consider a small hole above the waterline within the recess for the pumps. It won’t be seen and it wouldn’t pose a leak risk unless heavily loaded. Seal it up good and then you have a much better signal from the transducer. Can’t say about that material, but waves refract or reflect at...

I think I finally quieted my Yamaha!

In cases where the data has a lot of variation, one successful method is taking many measurements and averaging. This also presents problems because now you need to duplicate conditions more than just twice. If someone wanted to try and do a statistical comparison excel has some easy to use...

Thinking about a boat, need some advice.

Consider a two stroke boat like the LX210. Really low cost of entry, easy to tow, way more fun to drive, easy to fix, glorious smell zero depreciation. The downsides are less room, rough ride in chop, some people can’t keep a two-stroke running due to lack of awareness then people talk about...

    Lateral Thruster Update

The pump on the LS/LX 2000/210 have the same motor and pump as the 97-gp1200. So no L13 cone etc. I know the gpr1200 had a bigger pump and it can take the L13 cone. I bet the xr1800 would have that pump. I don't know about the 4-stroke pumps other than the look different and know I know the bolt...

    Lateral Thruster Update

My dial calipers read 5.5 inches between the bottom two bolts.

    Lateral Thruster Update

Yep I'll get back to you. Feeling pretty excited.

    Lateral Thruster Update

I'm wondering if the smaller pump on the two stroke boats has the same geometry. Would you mind measuring the bolt spacing for the 4 pump bolts?

    Boat capsizes in Jupiter inlet

Based on how fast it went under I would say it was full of water.

    Broken bunk board question

Cribbing is easier than loading all your tools up launching the boat anchoring, swimming back to shore etc etc. There's less risk if something goes badly, but I won't judge you if you take it to the lake :)

    Broken bunk board question

I had this problem. You need to crib up the boat, but it's easy. First you chalk the trailer. Then you disconnect from the truck. Then you lower the front of the boat trailer as low as it goes. Place cribbing under the back of the boat. Next raise the front of the trailer as high as you...

Need bilge pump advice ahead of Irma

Turning on and off quickly won't kill the battery that fast. Pumping lots of water out will. I'd be worried the cover of the lift and the boat would just rip off... not many good options though.

    SurfPointe

I never noticed any lines attached to the boat in the same shot as that massive Bimini.... begs the question, do you have to drop the top to pull someone?

    JetBoatPilot Lateral Thruster Debut!!

The pump on my LX2000 is a bit different than the pump posted above. Have you done any trials on the 2-stroke boats? I'll probably be pre-ordering either way, I'm sure I can make it work. Let me know if you want any pictures. Great design on the single especially with the check valves.

Cabin Rental on Table Rock. Recommendations?

We've stayed at: Indian Point Vacation Condos: Sort of an old school motel. Trail's End Resort: Legit Cabins Not really a resort though. Branson Yacht Club: Newer Motel style. Nicer pool, long walk to the water. In Kimberling City: Lighthouse Lodge: Family run Lots of cabin sizes. Not...

    stuck clean out plugs HELP!!!!

I'm glad that has worked for you. FYI: Their might be oils in the hand lotion that will cause the rubber to swell. Also, oils will cause dirt to stick to the rubber and the metal. I would suggest using silicone spray on them to make it easier to insert. I did that for one summer and removed...
