    stuck clean out plugs HELP!!!!

Consider removing the tray and rubber tubes that surround the plugs. That will give you a better look at the metal of the locking mech and the cylinder it locks into. Then consider vinegar to dissolve hard water deposits.

    LS2000 / Lx210 fuel sender upgrade replacement

4x15. I had the problem you describe. I believe it's different than the OP. You have varnish built up on the tube the float rides in. If you take it all apart and use carb cleaner to get the varnish off you should be good to go. I did a write up on the other site under member tips.

    LS2000 / Lx210 fuel sender upgrade replacement

Yeah, I think the exciter had some magnets in the float or something. This one has a typical float w/ spiral metal. At the top there is some sort of electro-magnetic coupling to the sender cap. I think the OP has the right cap shown in post #25

    Hulk smash

Or, just slow down to around 15mph... That brings the front up some and increases fuel consumption. The good thing about the boat is that it's pretty fast, so just slow down for the waves and then launch it. More fun that way too.

    Low compression 1 cylinder

Epic post. For sure what I've heard, but that's straight from the source code of the Matrix.

    Adding a 2nd battery

Oh yeah, that makes sense. Did you use the existing attachment point for the battery box or did you make another?

    Adding a 2nd battery

Very cool. I'll probably go this route too. I was thinking about trying to tuck one behind the oil tank, but this is even better. Is the filler neck the only thing under that part of fiberglass/do you know what's under there?

How to get oil back in the lines after engine removal?

Open the bleed screw on the pump if there's not oil there. Then you can idle the engine and dribble oil in the carbs while holding the oil pump cable open. That will pump oil into the lines in about 5 smokey mins. Adding oil to the fuel means running less gas, so that means lean. A lot of...

    Adding a 2nd battery

It looks like you could have kept the oil tank if you hadn't used that area for the switch and panel. Is that correct?

    LX210 swim platform

Nice writeup and thanks for the attachment pictures. You're correct that there doesn't appear to be parts for the support brackets or the platform. But seeing how it all goes together, it seems like it would be pretty easy to glass something in the way of a platform if someone were able to...

    Low compression 1 cylinder

Sounds like you've got this all figured out. All I'll add is get another set of hands when you drop the top-end on the pistons. It's tricky getting all the rings compressed at the same time as supporting the jugs. Otherwise, it's fun. Ohh yeah, one more thing, use mikuni gaskets for the...

    Steering issue

Should take zero effort to move when at idle. Sounds like problems. You can look at the cables and the wheel gears in the helm.

If you use an anchor don't use this clamp

I feel luck to boat in rocky conditions. I just use a cheap mushroom type anchor and rarely even let out more than 4:1 slack. It still gets stuck regularly, so I can't imagine what a quality anchor would do. Let's please have a moment of silence for all the anchors taking the long swim.

More evidence that drinking and boating don't mix....

If everyone just had a 2 smoker no one would want to ride back there. I say blame 4 strokes.

    HydroJet Pro EXPLAINED

If I buy a $50,000 pickup and proceed to drop a bunch of crap in the bed you can bet that I'll have a $200 bed liner first... Just saying. Ohh yeah, I owned a K30 with a flatbed, so I'm biased toward functionality.

    Ballast setup for an LS2000

I'm a bit interested in this too, mostly out of curiosity. There's a fair amount of unused space in the helm areas and honestly some decent space in the sides too. Otherwise it seems like if you wanted to load up you'd have to fill the locker and the back seats and the back step. Having sacs all...

    HydroJet Pro EXPLAINED

Haha, well that's two fold. Most EE graduates earn more than I do as an associate professor, and I have 10 years of student loans to pay off, amongst other various hobbies. The other aspect is that I love two strokes. @HydroJet Pro I'm pretty sure I just came out in support of your product so...

    HydroJet Pro EXPLAINED

I'm hard core finless also. Honestly I don't see the difference between TV or Cobras so if this is a copyright issue maybe that is too, unless they are licensing this to one or the other. Legally I could care less, and I suspect a good lawyer could make a case for either side. As a...
