What a great deal on a great amp.

    Keel Damage

The hull is very thick there. I would be concerned if it's soft to the touch. Personally I would get a professional repair. It's likely not as expensive as you might think. This would be a straightforward repair for pro. I would expect this would need to be sprayed vs some sort of spread of...

Thanks for the help I ordered the deck plate

Not sure the lemon is worth the squeeze, but great ingenuity.

Thanks for the help I ordered the deck plate

The rub rail also isn't watertight. The rub rail in the rear surfside is under water for our setup. We just keep the bilge pump on and it will pump out water periodically. End of day the boat doesn't have much water at all coming out of drain.

    Thru Hull AC Plug

I'm not opposed to putting holes in the boat, but I just have the plug from onboard charger dangle down and keep it tucked in under cover. I never got around to thinking about an install and just left it as is.

2021 Yamaha 255 XD hull crack

I can hammer down my MR1s without issue. Stock everything.

    Gas consumption

Not a problem at all. Just $704. I guess it’s all relative with a $300k+ boat

    Gas consumption

Just curious of folks gas consumption. We were out about 8 hours last weekend with about 6 hours surfing, tubing, and wakeboarding. Used about 16 gallons. Sunday we were floating more but surfed 2-3 hours and was driving back and forth on the lake. We used 12 gallons. I talked to a buddy...

    Screws into floor near batteries?

Your battery boxes are likely screwed to the floor. Check the length of the screws and those would be safe.

    Broken Spark Plug

There are folks that have had to pull the head and take to machine shop. Hopefully you get it out.

    08 AR230 Pissers not working

That just looks like grass clippings and junk that could have accumulated through the outlet randomly or with an insect, etc.

    Should my hitch be flipped

As far as raising the tongue, just put a level on it when on level ground hooked up. Adjust if needed.

    How old is too old?

I can't answer, but I can tell you that I had my new Honda mower's engine crap out just after warranty expired. My 13 year old honda mower had been sitting outside for 3 years. When the new mower crapped out I went to the old Honda mower to start it and finish the yard. I had no idea what...

How do you keep your ski locker open,

No doubt it's a safety issue. Could conveivably chop a toe or finger off a child or adult under the right circumstance.

How do you keep your ski locker open,

They don't have struts any longer? That would suck. So you can be digging around in there and it fall on you or someone's foot, etc in a new boat?

    Surfing behind a jet ski?!

This is just the same old delayed convergence principle. We have friends that surfed with nothing behind their waverunner a long time ag. It was a big, plastic buoyant board.

Rebuilt MR1 - low oil light, hard to start, oil/gas in exhaust

These engines have such tight tolerances that rebuilds seem to be difficult to last. Granted we only see stories about ones that have issues and not people that have no issues. Knock on wood, if I had an MR1 engine that was blown I would find a good donor ski before rebuild.

    2 drownings in 2 weeks.

My kids recite the rule to every person on our boat that's never been out. NO DIVING EVER...and only jumping in areas we have seen the dry bottom when lake was way down. We never have much jumping any way.
