And then there were three…<Star Trek>

The next generation was very good but the ones that followed were not. I have started watching the new one with Capt. Pike. It's caught my interest. I've like all the movies.

    Anyone getting 2022 Yamaha orders???

I was only saying that a link to the posts wouldn't be visible if you weren't a member of that group. I figured folks could find the dealer without going to the posts on facebook.

    Beginner Wakesurf Board

I haven't used the slingshot coaster but have a slingshot space pickle board which they no longer make. Currently the Coaster is about 50% off for the 2021 model at evo.com 120 lb kid on any surfstyle board shouldn't be any problem at all. We just ordered the Hyperlite shim on sale. If...

Tips for Driving on to the Trailer

There is no definitive marker for proper trailer depth. All depends on the angle of the ramp. You need to be deep enough for the bunks to engage the boat and self level on the trailer. If you are worrying about something stopping the boat you are too deep. I can't help you if you can't power...

    Texas registered boats, register engines?

Yep. TPW and DMV. Used to be a separate TPW offices but now you can do both at county tax office, at least in RW county. I don't believe I have two engine serial numbers on my registration/title. I think that might be for outboard motor.

Gel coat chip at bow roller

That looks like a void/blister in the gelcoat. Could be covered under warranty but I could see a claim of impact. Easy fix though with gelcoat paste.

    Fulton Winch Warranty

My experience with almost all warranties is that it take a long time. My wife has a heavy electric stapler that went out and Bostitch said to not even send it in that they will send a new one......6-8 weeks. It's for a business, so what good is it to sit without it for 6-8 weeks? What are...

Do Yamaha Engines require periodic valve adjustments?

Valve clearance nothing to do with the timing chain failures. Faulty/poorly designed chain. Someone may have the shop manual but I don't see it as a maintenance item in the owners manual.

Hit and run on the Fox River recently

Gotta keep your head on a swivel at all times. I was driving across our bridge yesterday glancing out at the boat traffic and saw a girl int he water waving her arms frantically to avoid getting hit by a pontoon boat. She had been surfing and her surf boat was right by her. Scary stuff.

Did I pick the wrong oil filter or is something else wrong?

I have 15 seasons with KN303s each year. Not in saltwater, but that looks years old, not months. Yamaha filters are made by denso. You can search almost any filter and find that they are great or crap.
