    Broken Spark Plug

You can get a compression tester pretty cheap, maybe rent one or worst case take it someone. If you know anyone that works on engines they will have one. There is a good chance something that size in the cylinder will cause damage. You mentioned the plug you put in was wet which indicates the...

UPDATE: FIXED - Starter or Solenoid or Bad Connection?

Not an expert but here are a few thoughts. If you have a new battery is it fully charged? New does not mean charged. I would check the voltage at the solenoids. Is it the same as the battery. Then check the voltage as you try to start. If you have an amp meter that is even better to see if...

I thought my voltage regulator failed

Let us know how it works out!

I thought my voltage regulator failed

It may be a bad ground connection somewhere causing the spikes. I assume the connector was tight. I would make sure the ground wires themselves are clean and tight for all the electrical connections battery, starter etc.

    Anchors for southern lakes?

I always just used a river anchor with about 6 foot of chain and about 75' of rope. Rarely need that much. I put out the bow and backed slowly until it caught and threw out the stern. No issues even when we went down to Savannah and anchored.

    Another leak thread

Agree with the above! If this was the first time you took her out in awhile are you sure water didn't get in where she was sitting? I have had that happen. Different year but the tubes never leaked on mine. The water in the back I had was usually due to kids and people getting in and out of...

    Towing tubes with extra rope

I have pulled tubes and double tubes with longer ropes to avoid the spray with no issues. Everyone enjoys it so much more!

    Boating mag 275SD test

Nice looking boat - It looks it may be a little harder to get to the engines for maintenance. Anyone experience the new controls yet?

How to back in your boat.

We laughed so hard! I recall the first few time doing that. Then when I started to back my Yamaha into it's slip all those memories came back especially on windy days!

We want to it will just depend on the timing because of the extra days to get there. Keep as committed to committing! HA!

Interested but have to see if I can work it out. I would have to take a day off to get there and another to get back.

    Motorcycles, General questions

My wife said she is game. We would get hotel rooms as well. We should also see Wheels through Time while up there.

Stuck in marina with no way out

The marinas down here will pull your boat out. I bet they would take it to the land fill for much lower fee. Most of the marinas have boat repair and thus are used to doing this kind of stuff.

    Motorcycles, General questions

I have done this before at camped in younger days. I am interested but would probably have to work out timing and plans to be sure. Usually my wife rides with me as well.

HELP me get to the lake

As mentioned it depends on the grade. My lake house had about 100' to the lake with a bit of an incline. My wife didn't like the walk back up the hill and her parents couldn't do it at all. We used the riding lawnmower. It worked great with no extra cost. Even when it got dark there were...

Buying my first Yamaha and seeking advice

I didn't have an older boat but besides what has been called out above I would add for the size you will get the best layout and most room in a boat this size. Steering can be a challenge at low speeds. Practice this and before long you will be very comfortable. It didn't take long and I was...
