How to avoid clogging your engine with sand

I do the same, minus the beaching, I won't let the get boat get that shallow. I let the bow anchor spin the boat for me. I turn off engines, bow anchor catches and spins me while I grab rear anchor, and jump off and tie up rear.

Garage floor epoxy - anyone done it themselves?

We did the Home Depot kit in the shop bay. Our prep was significantly longer than the install. No idea where it stands but when I left it was at least 5 years of cars in and out daily and never peeled.

    Connext Nav tutorial

well said. There is nothing unique about the Connext system besides the shape of it. There is a reason high-end boats use common MFDs.

Seakeeper Ride install and review on a 252 FSH Sport

I might look into this in the future. The one I saw was a Seakeeper 2 I think. Now that they have this, might good with wife and baby.

    Connext Nav tutorial

Yeah for my normal use the connect is fine. Of course I know our ICW so well I can probably go eyes closed let alone needing a nav system lol. Where the 943 really shines is when I take the boat to the keys, or meet up with people for scalloping a few counties north.

Seakeeper Ride install and review on a 252 FSH Sport

That's cool how small it is. I worked on a boat last year that had a giant sea keeper that was basically the size of an inboard engine.

    Connext Nav tutorial

Unless we missed something in conversations, I'd say you're crazy lol. As far as I know you can't even input coordinates on the context, and the longitude/latitude it displays is not in standard format so you can't share it with others to meet you. Waypoints have to be manually set, either at...

    Connext Nav tutorial

I have a 943 on my boat. Would be nice if the connext did what it does.

    Connext Nav tutorial

Bummer, still crap lol. The maps look nice for sure. The way points are junk, the route is useless in anything other than an open lake or ocean. I would have gladly paid an extra 1-2k if they would have designed it like a true chart plotter.

    Connext Nav tutorial

On the 23' and '24 boats, will it do actual route guidance and not just a straight line to a set point? On my '21 I can't even input coordinates.

Running only 1 engine at idle speed

If you're considering running one engine just to save gas - a new boat probably isn't for you.

The best way to is buy a Garmin and forget the Connect one exists.
