I believe that is correct. If you're a global entry participant, you don't need an in person interview for the SVRS.

I had the email before I could even leave their office! She also wrote the number down for us as well on our appointment form.

We have 5 kids coming along with us, but I'm too lazy to find pictures of all of them. Cheryl and I on the right, @tim h and Traci on the left. Carin and Daveed (from Bimini 2011) attachFull23816

Btw, I'm told that the immigration forms have been mailed to me. I have not received them yet.

On the way in to Bimini, fly a yellow quarantine flag. This can even be a yellow shirt tied to the tower of your boat. Everyone must stay on the boat except the captain. The captain takes the paperwork and passports and cash (did I mention it MUST be CASH.) to the customs office. Then over to...

I believe not clearing customs on the way back in is a $10k fine.

There is an SVRS interview location in Ft. Lauderdale. No need to go to Miami unless they are booked. You enroll on the SVRS website a a new participant. There you will make an appointment at your chosen location and time. Very easy.

Upon return to ft lauderdale, you can call customs and clear in without an in person visit IF you are a member of the SVRS program. Basically, load and go. If not, you tie up to the dock, do not disembark, call customs. They will tell you if you can disembark or if they will come to you to...

Because, while I was an SVRS participant since 2010, my wife always went through customs and my youngest son has never gone. My oldest son went last year and did his SVRS registration then. This is the first year my whole family will be going and are now all SVRS registered.

Some of my group is flying in to Orlando (during the week) and I'm encouraging them to do the svrs registration there. The other two are flying in from KS on Sunday, when no offices are open. They'll be out of luck and have to do customs in person, which is SUCH a pain...

Yes, there is an office in Milwaukee. They have M-F 8a-4p hours. It was 30 minutes for my wife and son to get through this morning. When I first went in 2010, it took them 3 hours since they had no idea what they were doing (they had never done one in Milwaukee). Unfortunately, the rest of my...

I agree, almost all policies cover US and Canadian waters out 75 miles. Even though we are out 55 miles, we are NOT in US waters. After researching this for the past five years, Allstate and State Farm are the only companies that I know of that have that has Bahamas included in their standard...

    Bimini VHF MMSI

I'm pretty sure the radio can do that, but I never studied up on its functions. I have to climb into the boat to check the model number.

My MMSI number is 338156262, but I have no idea how to use that feature on my radio (other than hitting the distress button)!
