    Werewolfs

Everybody talks about coyotes, however, you never hear anyone talk about the werewolves. Last night I came across one and I think maybe it’s master in the shadows. Fortunately I was able to photograph it as proof but when I looked in the morning it was gone.

Sautéed Scallops with Rice Pilaf and Asparagus

Last night dinner was sautéed Scallops with Rice Pilaf and asparagus. The scallops were dusted in flour with rosemary sea salt and sautéed in rosemary infused olive oil. The rice pilaf had onions, garlic and chopped jalapeños. I used 2 cups of arborio rice and added 3 1/2 cups of boiling...

Baked Eggs with Capers and Roast Potatoes

Earlier in the week I made Chicken Cacciatore and there were leftovers. As one who does not like to waste food the remaining chicken was pulled from the bone and mixed in with the sauce. It was then used to make baked eggs with capers and roast potatoes. I baked it at 425 degrees for about 7...

Deers in the Headlights (not really)

During the storm Claire and I went to the Assateque National Seashore. We saw plenty of ponies, a gaggle of turkeys and most interesting two deers laying in the grass

    Let's talk alligators and children.

I can only remember the advice my Mother gave me many years ago about Sharks off of the beach in Florida"remember it is there turf" or words to that effect.

3 days with a Tesla Model 3 from an admitted critic.

I recently purchased our first EV after driving a 2012 F250 diesel. It is the Tesla 2026 AWD Model Y. You could say it it was a present to myself for my 81st birthday. It is now going on one month and I have about 1000 miles on it. Our longest drive was yesterday almost 300 miles. I did most...

    Espresso Art

A lot of Baristas like to espresso art look like hearts ad other mundane designs. I do not. I freeform letting the foam decide. Often they look like creatures from out of space. Here is one

    Fine Dining

I am not a professional chef. I took up cooking and baking when I retired in 2006. I am basically self taught through cookbooks (I have a very large collection), various cooking forums and the CIA web site. I did not pay 1400 dollars however I have had mine for a few years. I took it with...

    Fine Dining

Claire and I wanted a restaurant that offered Fine Dining with fine dining music. So we ate at home and we were not disappointed. Although we did not indulge in an appetizer or dessert, the entree was cooked to perfection. It was a prime ribeye cooked to 131 degrees and came with two small...

Jim I will call Tesla for their mobile service as I really do not want to drive to a service center. However if I do I will probably opt for the one in PA as it is an easier drive

I agree the Tesla was a very easy purchase. I still have stuff on my 2012 F250 Diesel I do not use to this day. I also found when looking at other cars they were loaded with extras I did not need or want. The Tesla is pretty much straight forward; four tires, steering wheel, radio and a...
