    It does not, the X version is the one with the ballast. I was going to put custom ballast in this one but didn't get to it before doing the other upgrades.

    Thanks @swatski ! Yeah, we needed a boat with a cabin and finally pulling the trigger this year. We have loved our Yamahas though and it will be a sad day when this one sells. I will definitely still stick around the forum, too many cool things going on in the Jet Boat world not too.

    It looks like they have split the downward/reverse part of the nozzle and flared it out to the sides for more "lateral thrust" but it looks like the turn of the wheel wouldn't make a difference in reverse thrust direction unless there is an internal component that we can't see.

    "New Reverse Bucket" - Wonder if this can be retrofitted? "New driveline that will combine the wear ring and impeller housing with a stainless/composite impeller sleeve pressed in!" - For my engineers out there, please translate.

    Good point about the supercharged motors. I would love to see Yamaha come out with a bigger boat but I have been hearing these rumors for five years or more - so I am always somewhat skeptical.

    When Yamaha released the FSH "out of cycle" did it show up on the California CARB list that we usually see every year? If it did, then I say we won't see any new boat sizes since no new ones were listed.

    Weirdest thing found in pump

    When I kept my boat in the water and not on the lift, I would have catfish in the intakes almost every time we went out. I always had to remember to scare them out before I fired up the engines. Other than that, I have had diapers and plastic bags but have seen a lot worse floating in the Potomac.
