102 mile weekend

A buddy and me took the families on a boat ride (two boats) from jacksonville to daytona for the weekend. The boat ran like a champ. Went down and back and still had a 1/4 of a tank. We stayed the night and came back the next day. It was a great time and plan on doing it again for the holiday coming up. No pics yet but will when the wife gets around to.

that sounds like fun, did you camp or stay the night at a hotel? if a hotel was it on the water with a dock?

Oh no, the wife will never sleep in a tent. We stayed at the Hilton across from the dock

Did you takes the St John's down aways or did you get out in the Atlantic from Jax? I live in Lake City and sometimes go over to the St Johns and might like to do a trip like this.Where was the Hilton located?

We took the Intracoastal. Took us about 3-4 hours, but we were not in a hurry and stopped several times to swim and relax. The Hilton is right of the intracoastal. The dock was on the other side, Loggerhead.
