Cleaned the boat up today and we headed out on the lake. Everything smooth as silk on this old boat. Starting 12th season doing nothing except changing oil and plugs, replaced interior, and speaker upgrades. My youngest was about to start kindergarten when we got the boat and now she will be graduating high school next year. Lot of good memories on this boat. Saw some newer models on lake yesterday and don't care for them. I guess I got old man syndrome :)

Also have had good run on the surburan....200K miles and still going strong. IMG_3129.jpg

I bought a 2008 sx230 recently, and I'm hoping for a good 10-15 years out of it. Most everything on mine is solid. Yamaha did well by this one!

That's awesome. As with ANY boat, there are some nitpicky things you have to take care of, but I couldn't any happier with the purchase decision we made in 2008. I think we paid $36-$38K...that's $45K adjusted for inflation, so a pretty good deal in my book.

I think any other boat I probably would have sold by now,
LOVE my 07 bought in 09 used, put the cover on for 6-7 months, take the cover off, install battery and go to the lake, no worries these boats just go,

Still rockin' my '09 with no plans to change. I bought it as a brand-new leftover in August of 2010.

I'm repeating myself but Yamaha jumped the shark for me when they got away from this model. If I hadn't lucked into that leftover, at the rate the price has gone up, I wouldn't merely be sitting on the sidelines, I'd have left the stadium by now.

Looks great. How many hours? You haven't had to replace steering cables yet?

No plans to change from my 2008 I bought in 2014 either. The newer boats have lots of cool features and look a little nicer in my opinion, but mine still more than fits the bill, especially for the little bit I have time to use it.

Bought my 2017 AR190 in Spring of '17. I'm hoping we still have it in the spring of '29. That will put our oldest in his first year of college, and our youngest into 6th or 7th grade. Will also be our 20th wedding anniversary year.

If my Yamaha and my GM are still in good serviceable shape by then, I'll count myself a lucky man. They should at least be paid off by then!

Congrats @scokill for the milestone!

Not sure on the hours. I would expect around 500. May do YDS one day. No steering issues at all and I've thought about both the cables and bearings. No plans as of now unless something happens.

Also forgot I hit a stump and did about $6K in damage and had the bottom hull rebuilt flawlessly. I think it was 2010.
