Good afternoon and thanks for the add. I just took my new to me 2004 AR210 on Friday. Ran for a few hours and parked in my slip. Went back out Saturday and everything was great. Pulled back in the slip and left it in the water.

This afternoon the marina called me and said it had water in it and bilge pump couldn’t keep up.

I have only had a pontoon boat so wondering if I has an issue with a plug or what?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Drain plug? Use [USERGROUP=9]@HELP[/USERGROUP] for urgent matters!

Scupper possibly ?

Until you get it out of the water it's a guess in the dark

Also i finally received the help alert

Drain plug is the first place to check. Second is the scupper valve on the transom. It's a round fitting below the water line on the very back.

Take a pump with you to help keep up.

So did you get it out of the water to inspect it?

Have you seen the boat yet since the marina called?

Stop looking at post about how to get your gel coat to shine and read about how to get water out of your engine,

Are you in fresh or salt water?

Where do you live? Maybe someone can help.

If the water is up to or over the air intake DON'T START IT. You will suck water into the engine and hydrolock it.

Pull it to the trailer with a line and get it out of the water. If that is not possible, bring a second pump and pump out a bunch of water before you try to start.

(edited to add: I got the alert this time too)

Thanks everyone. I haven’t seen it yet. Marina was able to keep water out of it and get it on a lift. I live relatively far away and took them up on their offer to get it out.

They don’t have the keys, so risk of starting.

It is in fresh water also. Thanks.

Ok, that is all good news. Where are you located? BTW, update your profile--that will add your username to the map. It let's us see who might be close to be able to help if something comes up...

Lots of good threads on here about remediating a flooded boat. But time will be important. You will likely need to get that motor running again as soon as possible. When can you get out there?

Sounds like a good move to have them "rescue" the boat and get it on a lift.

Once you get to the boat, take a ton of pics and post them here, and we can help you diagnose the failure.

Get the boat on a trailer if you have one and tilt the bow up. Then fill the bilge with fresh water checking for leaks. Good luck. Hope it’s something simple.

If your bilge was not able to keep up, my money is on the scupper. You'll wanna replace it with a stainless steel one, if it hasn't been changed already.

Thanks for all the replies. The boat is up on a lift and safe. Going to get it back to the dealer and work through it. Will let you know what we end up with.

This seems like an awesome group. I look forward to learning from you all. Thanks again.
