Hello, I could use some help/advice. Both ecu were causing the injectors to stay open causing excessive fuel to be put in cylinders. So I first ohmed the injectors to make sure they were within spec. Which they were. Then I removed the ecu on the starboard motor side and it did have a small amount of moisture/water in the box. So I sent it off to get repaired. Got it back and installed and that motor now runs like brand new, throttle response is fantastic.

Then port side motor started having the same symptoms as the star board motor had so repeated my same process with it. Got it back and it ran great the first time we took it out after we got it back from being repaired. But this past time 6/15/24 when we went out. The port side motor had a sluggish response and didn’t want to go past 9,000 rpm’s when the throttle was wide open. Also rpm’s seemed be around 200-300 lower then starboard motor at .

Any suggestions on things I need to look for to figure out what could possibly be wrong with the port side motor?

Thank you in advance for any assistance!

Start by changing the spark plugs. These MR1 engines are sometimes picky about the plugs.
