Looking to put a new impeller and wear ring on my 2014 Scarab 195 what the 250hp engine. finding anything about these boats is like almost impossible seems like. how do you tell what size impeller and wear ring does the boat come with? Whats the difference between a 3 blade and a 4 blade impeller? also if it does come with the 159mm is it possible to change it to a 161mm or are the pumps a different size for each? Also has anyone ever used a dual stack impeller? is there any benefits to it?

http://epc.brp.com is your friend. Select Rotax JPS from the drop down, then the last two letters of your engine model number. Then HP. That will give you access to all the part numbers you need. A lot of BRP part numbers have equivalent Sea-Doo part numbers, but to know that you have to look it up. So with that, it will determine all the details like size.

From what I've seen, different design impellers do different things but none are perfect. They all compromise somewhere including the stock impeller.

As for different sizes, apparently it's possible but I'll let others comment on that. From what I understand, you can change the size of the impeller but the wear ring has to be thinner to compensate. Which ones specifically work, not sure.

Here's a pic of some of the sizes for each engine. 1615648077010.png

This is all very good info to know. Any idea on what the associated costs are with a job like this?

oh, you posted in two different places... but here it is again.

"
If the motor is operating properly and you're hitting your top RPMs, then I'd inspect your impeller and ring first. Look inside with a flashlight and see if there's any damage to the ring or impeller. Clearances are supposed to be extremely tight to get the maximum power.

I'm in Canada too (Ottawa). A replacement wear ring for a 150HP version was like $100CAD plus shipping. I don't remember the impeller cost.. but I believe it was about $400 CAD. But it's way more likely the ring is worn than the impeller. That's the whole point of their plastic rings."

I'll add, this assumes you do the work yourself.

Yes, exposure is key lol. If it’s not to difficult I would absolutely do it my self. Anyway thanks again!!
