2015 242 LS - Tach's not working and Connext screen on white home screen

When looking up yours, i happened to look up mine and now they are available when they weren't when i checked a few months ago.
So i ordered them and will put away with my spare connext in storage

What year is your/ model is your boat?

Only option I can think is upgrade everything to the 2016 push button which seems to have a different tach, both are labeled a #4 in the schematics which then I assume will need an upgraded connext. The ECU’s for the motors should not have changed? So should talk??

You have the push button or key start in yours, assuming Key start looking at the 2016 Ar240 schematics. Where did you manage to scrounge up the elusive port tach at?

I have an aftermarket push start, ar's never came with push button start

So you have the exact tachs as mine/ connext. Noticed the 2016 242 e series with push starts are labeled with a different tach in it which says the connections probably different as well as ours. Wonder if I can switch if I can’t track down the elusive 6 tach unless you have any lead on that

Our tachs and connext are not the exact same. Part numbers are completely different. What is different is unknown. Yamaha is no help with the differences unless you come across someone who has personally tried a different part number in them.
Not sure if the tachs are just visually different faces which i believe they are. Not sure is that is the only difference. Knowing what i have experienced with Yamaha and different part numbers usually something else is different.

This is worse than a Rubic’s cubefiguring out the issues, the dealership we deal with is just as challenged. Had a bunch of their tech’s trying to help out and they all were stumped in the end and said exactly that….no help from Yamaha and you would think the dealer would have a direct link. Brutal….appreciate the candor. You ever come across a used tach….please please let me know!!

I absolutely love all my Yamaha products i own and cant say enough great things about each one. The only negative i can say is their parts get discontinued way to early with no aftermarket replacements.

All i can say is keep looking on boats.net every week in case it comes available like mine did. Mine said unavailable for the past year or two, now its available

Same here, this boat has been absolutely amazing in every respect.

Hey out of curiosity can you take a pic of the back of your tachs, interested in the plugs and wiring and what the differences are . Cannot find any pics other than the ones I posted. Cannot maybe start a forum on that alone!

I will take pictures front and back of both tachs when they come in. I doubt i will be in my boat to take pictures of them before the new ones come in
