I am pretty sure I can get a local 2016 242 e series for around 60k, there is one left in stock at my local marina

I'm seriously thinking of moving to a 24 foot boat. The reasons being more space (I tend to have 5 adults on board with a few kids), handle chop better, head and water sports

the first three reasons the two boats won't differ, but for water sports, is the 2017 242 x worth the extra 12k? You get integrated ballast and a different clean out plug design, anything else that differs that I'm forgetting? Are the stereos the same?

if that is it, 12k might be a lot for the reasons above....

I think the question you need to ask is what will you be using it for? that will make your decision if 12k is worth it. I opted out and got the LS-E.

I will be doing the following on the boat

anchored at a sand bar
water sports (wake surf, tubing)
fishing off of the back (wish I could get a trolling motor on one of these

the water sports part is the big question, is integrated vs add on ballast worth it? I've never had either....

Also, any other reasons to buy a 2017? If I get the 2017 it would be at a boat show in February, maybe the deals are better?
