hey all been searching all night for an answer to this but cant find anything. Yesterday while using the boat we sucked up a tow rope for the tube. Wasn't a huge deal but had to limp it back on the port engine as we couldn't get it lose from the inspection port up top. Once on the trailer a combination of cutting the rope via the intake under the boat, and the handy and super simple trick I found on here of just removing the impeller/shaft all together, had it back to rights in like 10 min to be honest. My troubles however start when re assembling.

I am so mad at my self I could spit. had it all done and was just putting the LAST bolt back for the shift linkage to the reverse bucket, But I over tightened the shift lever bolt and snapped the lever. I was hoping since I have electronic throttles (throttle by wire) that it would be easier to change, but from the small amount of disassembly I have done it doesn't look to be the case. You would think they would make a quick connect fo instances like these but I guess not. I tried to find a parts diagram and it looks like part 29 on this diagram and I got excited as it looked separate and removable but looking at the boat itself it doesn't look to be the case, and more I think about it more it looks like 28 is the linkage and it will have to be entirely re run.. I have removed the white nut and all the washers, etc and just find more of the linkage and im afraid to pull it and beak it worse.

So my question is what is the fix here, I really am out of my element now if It needs to be run all the way to where the servo motors are (that I have no idea where they are BTW) and I have dissembled the cable as far as im comfortable with hoping to find a joint that would be removable and replaceable to no avail. I know I could always take it to the dealer, but yesterday was our first trip literally after it sitting at the dealer for 5 weeks getting another issue fixed as they are so backed up right now. so id hate to be out of commission another 2-3 weeks due to my stupidity. Any help, tricks, etc are appreciated.

I haven’t done this before but I think you need to replace part 28, part 29 is the plastic thru hull fitting. I’m sure someone here on the board who’s done this job before will chime soon with more info, just hang tight.
