Just got a new AR240 and the GPS/Speedometer are not working. To top it off the only dealer near me is booked out three weeks. Has anyone had similar issues?

I have the same thing happening on my brand new 2020 242SE. It works about every 5-6 times. Taking in this week for my 10 hr service. I’m guessing the GPS antenna is faulty. Clock keeps setting itself 4hours ahead. And I’ve had BCU errors, so I think my computer may be jacked up.

I’ve just had the GPS/Speedometer going in and out. Everything else seems fine. Let me know how it goes. The only place I can take it in my area is booked out until the middle of July.

Check the wiring? Might just be a loose connection. Can’t say I’ve looked up under that door to see if you if can see/access the antenna but just about all the boat wiring is right back there by the hull in conduit that runs to the dash. It’s a little cramped, I spent some time under there figuring out my speaker/amp upgrade.

Ya I’ve messed with the wiring a bit and nothing changes. I unplugged it and plugged it back in.

Bad gps puck would be next guess. I would try to get the dealer to order the part for your appointment so you don’t have to wait even longer. My dealer had to order a new ski locker door for my AR240 under warranty (long story but the hydraulic arm bracket ripped out) been 2 weeks, still nothing. Not surprised with factory just reopening.
I’m not sure how the gps interfaces with the connext, I’m assuming the connext is the computer processing the gps signal on the NMEA network, I’m pretty new to these fancy boats so I’m still learning all that. It would be pretty strange to have just one thing not working if it’s a connext issue.

Thanks for the replies; mine goes in after July 4th. I’ll keep everyone posted. I checked connections; all looks fine. It’s not working at all anymore.

Having the exact same problem on my 2020 195s. Did you find out what the problem was? I also cannot take my boat in for a few weeks.

Bad GPS puck. Still on back order.

do you guys know if that same puck is my stereo antenna, and if a 2020 242SE is SiriusXM compatible?
