Hey all, I've been scouring the threads and hopefully I haven't missed a perfect solution, but I've been having an issue with an overheat alarm that I don't believe is actually for cause as I bought an infrared thermometer to compare temps and it seems pretty comparable to when I run the engine without issue. A couple months ago I hit a log and sucked up a stick and the alarm came on for the first time since I bought the boat new 3 years ago. Dealer found no issues and the alarm came back on the very next outing so I took it back with the same result. I picked it up AGAIN and it ran with no issues on my next two outings and on my third it came back on again. Like I said the thermometer seemed pretty in line with the last time out when I didn't get an alarm. Now, I've checked my pissers each time and there is a healthy flow every time. The alarm only comes on when I come down off plain and come to an idle after a minute or two- leading me to believe something is touching something hot even though the dealership found no issue with temp sensors. Each time there has been either no debris or literally 2 or 3 blades of grass in the clean out port, I doubt that would be enough to cause an issue. Has anyone had a similar issue?
