Hi All, I have a 2022 Yamaha 195s. Everything is working fine except when I start the boat, the gps and mph will not work. Most of the time I take the boat out into the middle of the lake turn off the engine and battery, wait 15-30 minutes then turn everything back on. The majority of the time this works but I am hoping for a fix so I don’t have to do this.
From other threads, it sounds like a loose connection but this is my first boat and I have no experience with electrical connections so I don’t want to mess anything up.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Is the radio working correctly? My radio got fried by water coming in and as a result the dept gauge stopped working.

If you're referring to the MPH provided by the boat instrumentation (not GPS) it may be the little wheel on the bottom of the boat hull that is stuck or wedged shut by debris.

I have this same issue going on. No speed (sourced from GPS) and the location on the map does not update. At one point my aft radio did get wet and it was replaced. At that time I had no GPS, Speed, and Depth. This time around Depth is working fine and the only issue is the GPS. Radio seems fine as well. If its a loose connector where is that normally at?

Just to add some more detail. I get no error messages or warning alarm. However I disconnected the GPS puck and the Connext system threw and error and started to beep. So even when it's not working it "sees" that the GPS is there. It's like a permanent bad signal.

I had the same issue. The dealer gave me a replacement transducer. I connected it and still have the same problem. Depth still works properly. My nav screen shows the boat at my home and it doesn’t change even when I am 30 miles away in the water.

Thats exactly how mine behaves. I have a replacement transducer I bought due to issues last year with radio/depth/gps but did not install it yet. Dealer fixed the issues with a new aft head unit. I'm wondering if it's the head unit again?? I'm going to try to disconnect the NMEA connector to the radio next to see if that changes anything.

When I get mine winterized this fall, I will let the dealer know that it is still not working properly. Thanks for the info.

It's been a while... I have this same issue for two seasons now. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Same situation here. No improvements. Disconnected the radio and it still doesn't work. If I disconnect the GPS Connext starts throwing warnings. Next step is the transducer replacement but I'm just guessing at this point. I'm assuming it's somthing on the NMEA bus. Or maybe its just a bad GPS???
