Hey,

I recently purchased a brand new 2024 merc jet 25hp and paired it on a Stryker 420 jet tunnel. I'm having issues as I cant get the motor over 4800 RPM (its rated for 5400-5800). I only have 7 hours on motor. I've played with different heights, nothing helps. The toe of the shoe is in line with the bottom of the hull. If anyone has any info or similar issues id be happy to hear about it.

I don't think you will find much help here on Jet outboards.

With that being said, hp/rpm ratings on outboards are set with a prop lower unit. Once a jet lower unit is installed hp/rpm ratings drop. Many small outboards 40/50hp will drop 10hp with a jet pump for a lower unit.

Good luck,
