Hi All,

Just recently installed the bolt on Fulton trailer straps. Was wondering if others experienced similar issues.

1. The straps themselves seem to rub against the trailer light mount. So, not strapping straight with no binding.

2. If the straps are locked in and tightly strapped, after a day, the straps are loosening so much I can easily remove the other end attached to the boat, by hand. 20230626_183828.jpg

Is this normal? Can't be....never had a ratchet type strap loosen over the course of a day.

A few more pics.

Every single time. For a while I was thinking that the boat was moving up on the trailer, but I don't know about that. I just bent the brackets.

The boat really is moving up the trailer. Do a quick hard stop on the way out of the lake and then re-tighten them. If it’s moving so much that the strap could actually come loose then you might need to make some adjustments to the bow stop or bunks.

Yes like @SantaFeTrailer said you might need to bend the brackets for clearance. I’ve seen others on here drill new holes through the trailer rails to mount the straps at a better angle.

I cut two blocks of starboard and mounted in between the buckle and bracket. Others here have drilled holes and mounted on the outside of the trailer frame. @Hoyt has it in his upgrade thread
