Looking to replace my current bimini fabric on my tower.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Looks like a replacement from Yamaha is nearly $1k?

Currently have the tan version looking to go black.

Would a canvas shop be worth a shot, bringing them the current one as a model?

Thoughts?

I would try to find an Upholstry shop near to see if they can help.

Looks like I need it sooner than I thought... 15909664160979048174457686035083.jpg

The factory fabric on our 2013 just didn't hold up to the sun and weather; when ours went we bit the bullet and paid to have a Sunbrella replacement made. Huge difference in durability. I'm not sure if you are facing the same situation, but from the picture I would have to say it is the same factory fabric (surlast).

I have SX 240 so I have full Bimini top, it like 90.0" x 88.0" anyway, I wanted a red one instead of the tan, the factory cost $570.00, I paid $875.00 for a replacment, but is Sunbrella, 9.0 oz. material and way nicer than the factory. Factory uses cheap nylon material. Does not last. Point is, a good one is going to cost more than factory.

I have a similar need but only need the canvas.... was there a website you used to order the Sumbrella replacement?

This is not a part website. He custom makes each Bimini top from your exiting one as a pattern. Perfect fit. Any color you want if sunbrella makes it. The cost I quoted above was just for the canvas. Sunbrella material is twice as thick as factory polyester and will last 10 years if taken care of .It not cheap, was iffy myself at the cost, but once I got it was super satisfied. Price did include anew boot to match cover. Will need to send old top and boot for pattern

Facing this issue with our 2017 242x. 3 seasons and it’s done. I’m in central Florida and the factory Bimini seems to be back ordered. Has anyone had success with a Canvas shop making this with sunbrella? And did it use the same strap and buckle system?...would love to hear from someone who’s done it. Thanks

Is that not stock? Where are the zippers for the sunroof?

We never use the Bimini, I got a new beach umbrella from Santa and am planning on adapting it to the back table mount. That way we will have shade on the rear platform either sitting on it or standing in the water When at the beach. I tried the idea with a golf umbrella late last year and it worked well enough for us to get a bigger umbrella and do a more serious adaption. It will replace this flag but be a similar mount, just have to secure it better so it won’t go airborne! Never mind the driftwood, that’s for the garden.....0904CEDB-C65F-4C73-BE23-90E0FBD86EC5.jpeg
