Just thought I would put up a post about a happy owner. I know this is a forum to find help and probably 90% of the topics are to fix a problem, but things are good. So, 2012 SX 210, bought new, 3 kids, at the time ages, 1 boy 8, boy-girl twins 6. Used for, tubing , boarding, skiing, and mostly running out to the islands on Lake Texoma to anchor and hang out. Looked at a lot of boats, but the Yamaha fit all my needs. Ive had a couple of warranty issues fixed by our dealer in Louisville. Stereo (first year), seat cushions (right before my 5yr YES ran out). The boat gets run hard (barely) and put up wet. Not really, I do take care my boat, keeping it clean, dry and garage kept, but not quite as meticulous as some. Change the oil once a year and hardly have to winterize, since I'm in Texas and can take her out sometimes in the winter. Any issues I've had were user error and easily figured out, thanks to this forum.

Cheers to all the happy owners out there that love their boat. And, BTW, 85 degrees and breezy tomorrow. Going to a fish fry at a friends doc, then headed to the beach.

Thanks for reading,
James

Thanks for the positive post, love to hear the good stories also!

Agree. I know my time will come when there’s a real problem with the boat and I’m confident this forum will help me solve it. But for now my family of 4 loves every minute and we didn’t have any issues our first summer of use. All of our friends with wake boats love the Yamaha swim deck.

I too have had great success with my Yamaha. Everything in this world needs maintenance and attention but my Yamaha has needed minimal. Had a little glass work done under warranty is all. Fires right up without issue which is my #1 criteria. The mrs likes the way it looks and that her seat is comfortable. Everything else is icing on the cake.

Thanks to the low maintenance needed on these boats I spend all my effort cleaning.
One of my favorite quotes...

You can either have kids, or a clean boat. Never both.

Great post, can't complain with my 16 year old Yamaha. Great boats and simple design back in 2001. My only regret is that some parts are slowly becoming unavailable but I have not personally had a case where I needed something that I couldn't get my hands on.

I'm encouraged by the existence of third parties that make parts for the jet skis. Wsm and others help keep skis from early 90s running. My hope is that as we need certain parts that may end up out of production, someone will step up to provide. The market will adjust. So far very happy with my upgrade to sx230 from my old seadoo jetboat. The year had been flawless, other than an early crash familiarization with the access plug and their ability to blow out. Got ez locks now.

I have been very impressed with the fantastic world of 4 cycle direct injection. No more pruning, choking, carb mess. It just runs. Every time.
