Advice Needed Please - Minor Damage

Good afternoon. Please see the pics. They are right on my keel. Need to install a keel guard and will but before I do, should I fix the minor damage below? If so, advice on how? Thank you for your help and time.

I would get sealer and get it sealed up then get a gelcoat repair kit, and touch it up. Put your keel gaurd on....good as new. But you should definitely at least get sealer on it
 
Actually, I think you can just go to the gel coat. That will seal it.

For the keel, I would not get the color matched stuff and all. Go to West Marine (or any similar) and get a white gelcoat repair kit. Comes with a little tube of gelcoat. Let that dry and then put on your keelguard.
