Sorry if this has been posted several times but I couldn’t find the right search terms if so. My hard plastic Starboard Aft Factory Ballast (container?) has been blowing the fitting off in the engine compartment when I try to fill it over 80%+/-. I finally realized this weekend that it was air locked and blowing up like a balloon causing the fitting to pop off, so I loosened the hose clamp on the overflow bulk fitting which now allows air pressure to bleed off. It seems there’s a check valve in the bulkhead fitting that allows air in when emptying but not out when filling. Is the fitting bad or am I missing something? I don’t want to replace the fitting if it’s working properly and the air should be escaping elsewhere. Any advice would be super. Thanks!
