I would like to use my Navionics app on my IPhone to navigate our lake. I don't want to drill into the dash, is there another option?

I'm running the RAM suction mount listed above and also use in in my truck. It's very solid and does not bounce or move.

+1 for RAM!

Ram Mount suction cup X-Mount. I swear ... and you aren't going to believe me until you try it ... the suction cup holds in waves for the entire season. I put it on in may and I have 1 ring on my windshield that I have to clean by the end of October.

+1 on the Seasucker. It can really handle the weight, so may be overkill for a phone.

image.jpg I use an otterbox defender case on my iphone, I took the belt clip and drilled a hole through it so a 1/4-20 but would tightly squeeze in it, I used a nut that has the lock washer flare part on it so it wouldn't go all the way through the hole. I superglued the nut when I pushed it in the hole.

I use it mostly with a universal camera mount that I've had a long time, it has a built in small folding tripod, can be helmet mounted, handle bars....all kinds of configurations. I have that mounted on my windshield post and I clip my phone to it.

I know they make things like that to buy, but with that nut I can attach my phone to any camera mount.
This is the tripod thing I have, it has two straps that snap on it that aren't shown.

I also use the Ram Mounts XGrip... on the Jeep, motorcycle, mountain bike and boat. I would buy another if I lost/broke it. It can handle the weeks in Moab in the Jeep and cobblestone roads on the mountain bike and I can't imaging needing anything better. My only gripe is that the little grippy knobs aren't glued in and can eventually work their way off the metal arms. I find myself pushing them back on about every two weeks. I intend to rectify that with a drop of Gorilla Glue on each one very soon.

That ram mount is exactly what I use and it works awesome. It will suction to the gel coat or glass. I keep it suctioned to the gel just abov the throttle on my boat, puts it in the perfect place for me.

I ended going with Quad Lock, I used it in 3 foot chop last weekend and it held like champ!
