Anyone add a swim platform boarding hand hold?

When we launch, the mrs backs me in and dumps me off. I swing the back end around for her to jump on. She's a little uneasy with this. Some sort of boarding pole or handhold would help tremendously. I thought about making something with the side mounted table leg. Any other options?

I've seen it That would be great but the table leg is side mount. I for one wish I didn't have side mounts. I'll post what I come up with.
