Would love to hear your stories. Wondering if the boat is made to take the trip? Looks like Yamahas are the popular choice so wanted to see if any of the current Glastron owners can share their experience.

If not, any other salt water experience with the Glastron?

I'd love to try it someday in mine! I think there's a few folks on here who boat in salt and can chime in.

There was a twin engine Scarab that crossed not only to Bimini this year, but went all the way to the Exumas.

Planning to join the July fling this year. Will update with my experience. Looking forward to it.

If we are thinking about t the same group the Scarabs only made it to Nassau the did not make it to Exuma. In their group only the Yamaha and the Scout made it to Exuma.

I did a bit of salt water driving last spring in the Halifax Harbour. Had a good time, but it was only a couple of mornings.

Mine is an 18' boat though, so I don't think I would want to take it out past the mouth of the harbour. I will note that leaving the front bowrider section covered was a good thing. It reduced the amount of wind going through the cabin.

We did it. It was a rough crossing for the Glastron vs Yamaha but it got us to paradise :)

It was probably the first Glastron to make the cross with the jet boaters group.
