Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
I bought my first one (AR210) from CO2 Inflatables in Oakville, and had a great experience. I haven't dealt with them in a few years, as the Marina on my lake (Cameron Lake, Fenelon Falls) became a Yamaha dealer a few years ago. They also have been good to deal with, and I bought my 242LSE from them, although they are a little slow when ordering things .
I'm in London. We have a local dealer, but I've had poor experiences (prior boat, not the Yamaha), and they are generally not well regarded. I have heard of CO2 Inflatables.
I'm looking for reviews of a trusted dealer/mechanic in case I need any bigger service.
EDIT: I've dealt with Fenalon Falls Marine briefly; needed to order a part when we were in the Kawarthas this year, but they ended up ordering the wrong one. I think it was a mistake at the Yamaha warehouse. Their service department didn't look impressive, but I'll take knowledgeable mechanics over fancy buildings any day. They're just a little far for me. TO is about as far as I'd consider if I needed anything bigger done.
I'm up in Barrie, probably a little too far for mechanic work. I've had such bad experiences with the Yamaha parts manager here that I won't even consider bringing my boat in for service. I keep my boat at Brentwood Marine. Although they are not a Yamaha dealer they have a good reputation and I was satisfied with their work the one time I needed them.
