Anyone live down in S. Florida?

I wanted to see if I could get some input from anyone who currently lives down in S. Florida. Including anywhere from Juniper down to Ft. Lauderdale, down to West Palm/Miami area.

There's a possibility the wife and I may have to relocate (from Tampa) down that direction for work and I wanted to get some jet boaters input as to where to look for rental properties, places to dry or wet store the boat, etc.

We're open to houses, townhomes, and even condo's but ideally, we'd find a good location that has either a boat ramp near by-ish and the rental isn't an HOA (so I can park the boat at the house), or, we find a rental that has a boat dock and lift that isn't a million dollars a month =).

I do live in Pompano area but I do not know of any rental properties as I own my own house and keep my boat there. I have never inquired about dry / wet storage but have heard it is pretty pricey. Sorry that I can't be of more help.
