My wife and I are looking at buying our first boat.

We are going to buy the Yamaha AR192.

My question is the Yamaha website shows the MSRP for the AR192 as $34,799. Whats included in that base pricing? The MSRP I got from the dealer was $39,749 but selling price of $35,499.

Thanks, now I just need to know what they have as standard. Also waiting to see what the promo offers are for July.

So I need to figure out why their MSRP is more than Yamaha on their website.
Only thing I currently see as the difference is they opted for the Galvanized trailer.

Delivery, Prep & Dealer Costs are usually baked into the MSRP. Ask for an itemized list of all costs with $ associated to each. Prep is understandable...Delivery fee you can usually negotiate not paying for...the dealer had to have the boat delivered regardless...how are they going to sell the boat if its not delivered? Same applies to car dealerships...not gonna sell any cars with an empty parking lot...the cars are going to be delivered regardless if anyone buys or not...so why should the conusmer have to pay to have it deliverd?

I work at a car dealer, they build destination fee's into the msrp's i believe they do the same on boats.

Waiting to hear back from the dealer.
After looking at a 200 mile radius I found one for $34500 + tax and fees.

Trying to get my local dealer to 34299 + Tax and fees. They are still making 2-3k depending on how long the boat has been sitting in the show room.

so final price is $35,299 + Tax and fees.

Saves me from driving 8 hrs to the next dealer that has one

where are you located? my brother works at a yami dealer in nj that can hook you up....

Yup thats all they would do.

Couple hundred extra makes the wife happy. Now she cant stop complaining about not having a dam boat

you might want to look at a year or two used boat. Also, make sure 19' is enough for you, it seems like enough in the showroom, but it might get crowded if you have a few adults and kids on it.

a lightly used 21 or 24 wouldn't be that much more.

Not trying to persuaded you either way, just saying think about it.

This is my first boat. We dont have kids so its just the wife and me. This should be enough for us for the next 2-3 yrs. Then maybe we will trade up to a larger boat. Plus I have never driven with a trailer or launched boats before.

We did the same, first boat AR190. Has been great learning about the boat and learning how to run a jetboat. We've taken friends and usually have 4 adults and 4 kids and its been a great boat. In the future I plan on having a 242 but the future isnt right now...

Jeff,

I picked up a leftover 2015 ar192 from surf city marina three weeks ago for 33,395 out the door. He has 1 2015 left. And 1 2016 in grey.

Driving to NJ then back is about 12 hrs. Not worth it to me to get a boat. My radius was about 1-2 hrs. There are 3 Yamaha dealers within 1-2 hr radius. Two are sold out and only one had it. I did call the dealer about the SX190 they had listed but someone bought it right before I called. On Sunday I met the guy who bought it before me while we were in line launching. He was between the AR192 and the SX190.

@JeffC I would keep an eye out for a slightly used one. I picked up my 2013 Yamaha AR192 with 86 hrs on it from a private party for 25000 at the end of 2014.

@lddv1224 we already bought it a 2016. With the cheap financing used payments were the same as new payments.

Yamaha offered 2.99 then 5.99 with an average of 4.24.
Banks were offering around 6%+
