About to buy my first boat Ar195. I think it's fine for the Barnegat Bay some say maybe not. I need people who know the area well to tell me what they think. I getting the boat at a good number but don't wanna make a mistake & be stuck at maybe going to only lakes. Ty all

Im boating in Barnegat Bay with AR 195 for me its perfect -great for water sports like tubing or wakeboarding (of course Im watching weather and if its really windy im not there)
Of course bigger boat going to be better for choppy water but with my experience with AR 195 i really never had any problem to go where i want to go (even whet i hit more windy conditions)
Im usually running between F cove and Barnegat light house (planning to run to LBI next season)

That's awasome news how long have you owned the AR for..? In your option what's really windy...? I know direction has a factor as well...?

It's totally fine for Barnegat 90% of the time. If there's a small craft advisory for the area, its gonna be too choppy in the bay. I'd probably set my wind cutoff for 15mph.

It's my first season with this boat (I had friends' boats before) for me over 15 mph it's no go i did over 50 engine hours on boat this season (plenty more on water of course) ---- I wish i have more time off from work :)

Awasome to know. Great info thank you all. Where do you guys launch from or do you tralier dock it by the water..? I'm gonna start looking for places that I can possibly leave it down there so I don't have tow back & forth.. Anyone have any good places..?
