Hello, it’s been a while since I’ve been on this forum.
What type of battery do I need for my 242 Limited 2012? What are some good deals on batteries?
Nothing fancy.

It depends on your needs and apetite for higher price. I generally look for Marine or Deep Cycle group 24 batteries, as that is the tray size I have on the boat. Costco has a Group 24 "Marine" battery for $75. You can go with optima blue for much more, but it's a lottery in how long either will last. could be 13 months, could be 7 years. Welcome to Battery Quality Bingo! I hedge my bets by buying the cheap ones, then it hurts less if/when they fail. I generally get 4-5 years out of the Marine rated ones, but had one fail at 3 earlier last month.
