Hello. I have just join jetboaters.net.
I am located in Houston Texas and last year I bought my first boat ever from Wisconsin, a 2021Chaparral 2430 VRX.

I had an issue with starboard engine revving up/down 500 RPM at speed and sometimes vibrating at idle speeds. Later a check engine light came up. Nothing in the suction.
I’m going to try to check the spark plugs first.

Also, I am having a hard time finding a authorized location, I can take the boat for maintenance or check up of problems like the one mentioned above.

Anyone in Houston area that have a reliable maintenance place mainly in the Kehma, Clear Lake, Galveston, Conroe Lake area. I am getting “no” from every marina and boat repair places I called and visited.

The closest Chaparral VRX dealership I found is East of Dallas

Vibration makes me think you sucked something up, did you pull the entire jet pump to get a good look at the shaft and blades?

I took the protection grid on the suction under the boat and had a good look with a flashlight of the shaft and blades and then from the stern, I lifted the bucket and looked inside towards the blades - cannot see anything.
I need to crank again the motor and see if the check engine scrolls a code, I missed.
Meanwhile, I am going to check the sparkplugs.

I know Texas Marine is a Chap dealership. I would think they would do service for you (and they do Yammi's, too, so I know they do jet boats).

Sounds like you need to get a scanner on the engine to figure out what code was thrown...

I almost bought a Chap from Texas Marine (Conroe) last year, but someone beat me to it. Texas Marine when I approached them with my Chaparral, they told me they are only doing Yamaha (Conroe and Kemah locations).
I also checked with MarineMax in Kemah since I was told they do Scarab jet boats (also ROTAX engines), they told me they do not do Chaparral. I will check with them again.
SkiDoc in Conroe and Austin neither doing Chaps anymore.
My luck

You can try this guy.
I personally don’t have any experience with him, but I did talk to him on the phone, and he seems pretty knowledgeable and legit.
I believe he’s an authorized Yamaha mechanic, not sure about Chaparral.

I’m out of town, but I’ll give him a try on my return. So far if they serve Yamaha, they do not serve Chaps.
