Boat Lift Insurance, Who Covers Them?

Is it installed at a marina or at your house? If it's at your house, it should be covered under your house/ general property insurance. Check with your broker.
Are you concerned about theft? Again, check your homeowner's policy. It probably has a clause covering theft of personal property even if it's not stored at home.
Depending on the policy covering your boat, it might also be possible to have a rider for the dock/lift.

It's a floating lift at the Marina. It's like a boat itself, it just ties up to the dock. You drive on and lift the boat out of the water.
My boat insurance is through Ski Safe, and they don't/won't cover a lift. Ditto for USAA, my home owner's insurance.
