@Leojay posted a video a year or two ago about the quality of Yamaha boats he noticed at a boat show in NY. I came across this video, Yamaha is mentioned, as well as so many other brands with the same exact issues. Its sad how the manufactures seem to just not care any more about the quality of product. In my opinion the next couple of years should be an eye opener for manufactures. Boat sales are down everywhere, people are not spending money like they did just a few years ago. I hope that this will make them slow down on production and pay more attention to details. We shall see. Check out the video if you are interested.

I have watched this video way back when it first came out and actually communicated with LeoJay prior to him posting this. Coincidence, maybe...
What I have noticed though, is that it's not just Yamaha. I've seen other boat manufacturers in the larger more expensive lines, getting called out as well for quality control issues.
Since 2019-2020, the COVID era, we have seen quality control go downhill in everything in my opinion. ( My $125 pair of shoes I purchased last week came apart already....:) )
Wife and I have a 2022 Acura TLX Aspec vehicle that we purchased new. It's been a good car but little quality control issues are present throughout, and the short cuts are evident..... We also still have our 2003 Acura TL Type S with 260,000 miles on it that we purchased brand new. Our 2003 Acura still looks great, leather seats, etc. etc. No comparison on quality side by side re: fit and finish. I'll take our 2003 model any day !
My point is, this is the world we live in. For a meticulous person like myself, that even uses synthetic oil in his riding mower, it drives me nuts....

I agree with you on everything you said. Its sad. Have you watched the one I linked in my post, its not Leon's video. Its a different not Yamaha dedicated channel. That is why I found it interesting.

I just watched the video. I thought it was the one Leojay posted......Thanks for the heads up.
Very interesting for sure. ALL manufacturers are cutting corners for sure. I have actually cleaned up some of my rear bilge area, and my anchor locker area. All other areas on my boat are pretty decent......
