I am having issues with my boat not resting on the trailer properly. I have to sink the trailer deep to get the boat up to the bow roller without applying too much pressure on the winch and when I do the back end of the boat floats high enough to rest the bottom on top of the red circled area.

My thoughts are to remount the bracket on the top side of the trailer frame and that would raise the bunk guides up 4 inches which should keep me from floating on top of them.

Do you see any issues this may cause by doing this?

Any other ideas to keep the stern of the boat from floating to one side or the other during retrieval?

I always wondered why more people didn't use those instead of the guide poles, the poles only help so much and the boat can still go off center further forward,

I don't see any issues with moving the bracket,

How deep are you backing in, having a stock trailer I go in just so the top/front of the fenders are out of the water, but I power load,

Since I have replaced the leaf springs I have to put the top of the fenders an inch under the water. I might be able to try an not go so deep but I think im going to also try moving the guides on top of the trailer frame. The last couple times I have had to use my lateral thrusters to push me sideways off of the top of the guides.
