When I load or upload my boat, my wife says she gets a buzzer alarm. Do you guys know what could be causing this.

Is this anything below 3ft?

The alarm depth parameter can be changed within the connext setting. I am not sure what they are set to from the factory. Mine beeps as well when loading/unloading.

I don't power load or unload, but the depth alarm makes sense as it would trigger going over the trailer. The Connext should say what the alarm is when it goes off...but a brief alarm like a trailer spar may not last long enough to see what it was as the alarm will silence when the trigger abates.

I tried changing the depth setting in the Connext to 2.5ft to cut down on the triggers at many launches, but it doesn't remember once the batteries are turned off. Mine defaults back to 3.3ft which is fine as most ramps are 4-6ft depths where I launch, but tall weeds near the surface will also cause the depth alarm to trigger. I stopped worrying about it and learned to tap that "Cancel" button quickly. I also found that the buzzer in my boat is a round unit about the size of several bottle caps stacked together behind the dash. When I found it, I discovered it had a wheel on the top that allows you to change the volume level as you turn it (covers openings for the sound). I found the lowest level and used electrical tape to "lock" it in place. Now my alarm is there, but not annoyingly loud.

We've only had our boat 8 weeks (11 hours), we don't power load or unload either. I know in some places it's illegal. Our depth gauge is set a 4' was considering 3' and yes the alarm is annoying,. Thanks for the tip on. how to adjust volume
